Membership for Organizations

Investing in an agency or organizational membership is an investment in your entire team. These memberships ensure that critical benefits stay with your department, even as staff members change.

  • Agency Membership: Designed for providers of recreation, parks, or leisure services. This tier offers the highest level of support for your team, including complimentary access to education for your park boards and foundations, access to virtual internship fairs, and prime visibility at our events.

    • 1-5 Members: $375

    • 6-11 Members: $825

    • 12-17 Members: $1,275

    • 18-50 Members: $3,000

    • 50+ Members: $5,500

    • Rural Agency Scholarship (1-5 tier only): $100 for agencies serving populations under 25,000 (subject to Board approval).

  • Nonprofit Organization: $250. For nonprofits aligned with our mission of supporting recreation and conservation. Includes two memberships.

  • College or University: $250. Includes all full-time academic faculty and students enrolled in relevant degree programs.

  • Commercial: $500. For organizations supplying the industry. Includes two memberships.

Why choose an organization membership? Your team will enjoy exclusive access to free online job board postings, complimentary tickets for staff engagement, and the ability to advertise grant or engagement opportunities in our publications.

For agency leaders: When joining online, please choose the level of membership that provides the number of staff and board members you would like to have engaged with VRPS. Unlimited (50+) memberships do include part time professionals as well as full time.

Membership for Individuals

Whether you are just starting your career, are a seasoned professional, or have retired from the field, there is a dedicated space for you within our community.

  • Professional: $75. For anyone employed directly in the delivery of recreation, parks, or leisure services. Includes full voting privileges and eligibility to hold office.

  • Associate: $50. Perfect for board and commission members or those not eligible for professional membership. This status provides access to all society benefits, excluding voting and holding elective office.

  • Student: $25. For those currently pursuing a degree in the leisure services field. A great way to begin networking before you enter the workforce.

  • Retired: $45. For those who have retired from professional membership status, allowing you to stay connected to the community you helped build.
