Park Operations: Scenario-Based Maintenance Roundtables

Join the VRPS Park Operations Resource Group for an interactive morning of scenario based maintenance roundtables. This session is designed for the people who keep our parks running, from frontline staff to department supervisors. We will work through a series of practical, high stakes scenarios that park staff face every day, such as emergency equipment failures, navigating conflicting user group demands, and managing unexpected weather impacts on scheduled maintenance.

The Experience

When you arrive, you will be placed into a small breakout group with peers from across the region. Each table will be presented with a specific operational challenge. 

After each scenario, we will come together as a larger group to share the different approaches used at each table. This is a fantastic way to hear how neighboring agencies handle the same problems you are facing.

 We are especially excited to welcome nonmembers to this event! It is a relaxed, low pressure environment to meet the community, share your own expertise, and see the value of our professional network firsthand.
